David Briant
Senior Project Engineer, Claytex
An expert in system simulation, particularly in the automotive sector and multibody dynamics.
He started at Claytex in 2015 after conducting his undergraduate and postgraduate automotive engineering degrees at Oxford Brookes university. Since starting at Claytex he has worked as part of the team that developed the VeSyMA suite of vehicle simulation libraries.
With a primary focus on automotive and motorsports libraries, with significant experience in driver modelling and vehicle durability, he now works on customer projects and library development in a variety of different sectors.
Latterly he has been working as part of the autonomous vehicle team to develop a new Autonomous Vehicle testing tool, AVSandbox. Built around rFPro, an engineer grade virtual reality, AVSandbox adds physics based sensor models and implements scenarios to aid developers to test, develop and deploy AV solutions.
