Thomas Riegler

Heading the Technical Project Management at the DLR Cologne since 2010, Thomas oversees complex technical projects, coordinates interdisciplinary teams, and ensures the successful execution and delivery of various engineering initiatives.

Thomas began his career as an industrial mechanic apprentice at DLR, gaining a solid foundation in practical skills. He advanced his education by studying mechatronics at the Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, where he earned a degree in engineering (FH). Building on this technical background, Thomas pursued further studies in Production Management at the Rheinische Hochschule Köln, earning a Master of Engineering degree. This blend of hands-on experience and academic achievement has provided Thomas with a comprehensive understanding of both the technical and managerial aspects of production and engineering.
